Description
Create your own reversible cross-body sling bag (two bags in one if you ask us). Flip it inside out for a completely different look, with both fabrics visible in the finished piece. Choose from three closure options to customize the design: a D-ring buckle, fabric ties, or no closure at all.
What's included
The pattern comes as two print-ready PDF files: an A1 file for printing at a copy shop, and an A4 file for printing at home. An English manual with written instructions is included, with a link to the YouTube video tutorial. All pattern pieces include a 1 cm seam allowance.
Fabric requirements
You'll need 0.8m (7/8yd) each of two stable, non-stretch woven fabrics, minimum 150 cm (60") wide. Both fabrics will be visible in the finished bag, so choose two you love together.
- 0.8 m or 7/8 yd of Fabric A (outer): medium-weight to
heavyweight stable woven, min. 150 cm / 60" wide - 0.8 m or 7/8 yd of Fabric B (lining/reverse): medium-
weight stable woven, min. 150 cm / 60" wide
Avoid lightweight and stretchy fabrics; they lack the body this design needs. If you are using a fabric with print, you might need more fabric to fit all pattern pieces with print consistency.
You will also need
- 2 × 3 cm D-rings (buckle closure version only)
- 100% polyester all-purpose thread (e.g. Gütermann Sew-All)
- Sewing machine needle: jeans/denim 90/14 or 100/16 for heavier fabrics; universal 80/12 for medium-weight
- Scissors or rotary cutter and cutting mat
- Fabric clips or pins
Finished bag dimensions
The finished bag has the following dimensions: 52 cm x 80 cm.
